At this year's Virginia Beach Soccer Bash event going on in Virginia Beach, tournament director Jeff Hawkins wants to help everyone have a chance to place onto a team, even if they aren't part of a sponsored team.

Hawkins is leveraging a new feature in his event management software that gives him the ability to accept Free Agent registrations to help Teams who are short on their rosters and help players who want to get in the game but don't have a Team sponsor.

With this new feature, when Free Agents register, they are able to specify their interest in the level of play as well as provide a brief backgrounder on their playing experience, thus aiding the Team Captain to quickly determine if they could help fill their otherwise short roster.

"We've gotten a lot of calls in past events from players who wanted to participate but didn't have a sponsored Team. The Free Agent feature makes it easy for these folks to register and make their interests visible to wanting Team Captains who can then invite them to their Team", noted Jeff Hawkins who is the Tournament Director for the event. "We want to get as many folks as possible playing in the beautiful game" he added. "It's as simple as that".
